New Nielsen figures released this week show the Herald on Sunday increased readership by 1.3% in the last quarter, to 301,000 readers.
The entire Herald stable is bucking global trends to record readership rises. The Weekend Herald rose 3.8% on the previous quarter to 412,000 readers after last year's revamp, while the daily Herald increased 1.5% on the previous quarter to 404,000 readers.
NZME’s newspaper brand audience (including regionals) is 2,123,000 (59%), up 5.9% on last year. The Herald’s monthly brand audience is 1,930,000 (53.6%), which is an increase of 8.6% year on year.
