Whakatane Beacon celebrates 75 years in April this year. CEO of Beacon Media Group, Simon Ellis advises a special publication will be published in April, in addition an event to mark the occasion will be held in Whakatane. It caps a busy year for the group, which expanded it's print operation with a new plant , Beacon Print Hawke's Bay after gaining a print contract with APN Regional Newspapers.
